From my childhood, I always had an inner wish to join the Film Industry (not as an actor). I watch movies a lot also. I also had interests in photography.
Now in my school life once I got a chance to be a part of a project where we were required to make a short film for a competition organized by Symbiosis.
To me it was my best experience that I had. I was involved in the back stage as director of photography, helping in the script and also as the Chief Editor. We had very short time and had to film 4 minutes. Here I have attached the videos also...
The shooting took for two days. First day, we had so fun, and the shooting was so full of fun that we had re-shoot most of the part. This doubled our fun.
RAW Footage of first day shoot.
The first day's shoot is here, so you can check out. I will describe is second day now...
It was a Tuesday and we had school. We got hold of a gate pass of 8 people and 9 of us sneaked out by convincing the guard there wasn't place for the 9th name. The way we looked, no one would say we were shooting. One had a camera. Four of us were the actors with no make-up. (Actually we didn't know when and how to apply them). Two of us were the sound guys with the rest being the director and crew members (yes we had them as well... Because we needed reasons to bunk classes) The whole group looked as if we were some gang in uniform. And two muscle men carrying sticks (actually scales which were used to hold the microphones). Any way the shooting went well and here you can also see the final movie...
Final Movie...
