Luck :: Part IV

IV

The checking was done accordingly. They didn’t find anything suspicious. But each of us were questioned and had to stay in jail for about 3 days. Later after a certain period gap, when the investigation didn’t find anything, we were all released. In the mean time Anil and Sunil got a friend to write them a letter as our major, with this message:
So why am I seeing you all again here? You all wanted to be pulled out and so why are you here again? Aren’t you happy that you all are going home to meet your loved ones? Searching for something or what? Let’s come to the truth. I am your Major and commander and no one crosses and goes above me. You all thought that this place would help you get out of law with the million of rupees? Well true, you all have escaped law. You all won’t be punished for all these and you all will also have your jobs, but for that I am charging you this money. Fair enough? And mind of you try to go against me and complain. You all will fuck up your jobs will go. They all are in my hand. Still next time when I meet you, I will give you some share as pay for stealing.

He decided to go and put this letter in the mutually agreed hiding place so that they won’t suspect us. This was the best idea they had and it was so nice to get out of suspicion.

The time came when we were supposed to find our ultimate treasure. We all were excited. Anil, Sunil and I had to act well. When the paper was read out by one man, all were horrified.
“Who the fuck does this sucker think him to be?” enquired my Jamal, my friend. Every one was angry.
“That guy is greedy and would enjoy the money twice well in hell”, said Anil.

Everyone had tears due to anger. They were all tied; they had no chance of escaping. All the money was taken.
Sunil said “If we had kept some of the heroin, we could have sold them to get some money, but we were good men and didn’t go for drugs. We got only bull shit.”

We tried not to overact. Sadly we started receding with everybody. The trains came and they all boarded it to different places. Anil, Sunil and I receded to go in the last train. When all the trains had left, we jumped in joy. We were finally millionaires. We were no longer servants, we were kings. Going back to the special hidden place to find money was a child’s play for Anil and Sunil. They took me too. We soon took our bags and in the next train were going back home.

Vanessa called in my mobile, “Hi love bringing me those papers to enjoy?”
“Why not, I have papers to keep both of us covered in gold for the rest of our lives. I have got much more than you dreamt of”
“What? What else did you do now?”
“Nothing, I’ll meet you and tell the full story!!! Love you, bye”, I replied
“Have a happy journey and come home fast, sweetheart. Love you too…”
